Fubar entered the Coca Cola UK DJ of the Year competition in October 1999.

After a comfortable 1 st heat at the Pink Coconut in Derby he then went on to the semi Finals in Bolton @ Atlantis and Fubar made it look very easy destroying the competition to book a place in the Final in Watford.

On the night of the final DJ Fubar was inspirational. He was first up and no nerves were visible as he took the Watford crowd on a mad musical journey, rapping, scratching and spinning his way to the number one spot from over 4000 DJ's who entered.

The other finalists just couldn't emulate Fubar's opening set and he was crowned the “1999 Coca Cola UK DJ of the Year” in front of a packed Watford crowd.

Winning the competition helped Fubar to become a really big star on the international scene especially in India & Dubai where dates for Fubar started to come in.
